It may not be necessary to configure all of the datasource's geospatial options at the beginning of a project. For example, you do not need to modify the default symbologies to start using ProjectWise Geospatial. However, to be able to view and modify spatial locations in ProjectWise Explorer, at the very least you must do the following (in this order):

• Perform the basic ProjectWise setup

• Create the geospatial tables in the database

• Define a coordinate system

• Create at least one background map
